Ms. Somers serves as the Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Compliance Official, and Risk Manager for the Broadmead community. Prior to joining Broadmead, she served for eight years as the Senior Executive Director of the Fairhaven Retirement Community, a member of the Integrace communities in Maryland. Ms. Somers is a Masters prepared clinical social worker and has maintained a Maryland license as a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical since 1996. She is a licensed Maryland Nursing Home Administrator.

Ms. Somers currently serves on the Leading Age Maryland Board of Directors, a position she has held since 2012. Ms. Somers also serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Target Community and Educational Services, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to the care and service of adults with disabilities.
