Christy Murfitt is Vice President of Product Marketing at Imprivata, responsible to develop and drive the execution of the go to market strategy for Imprivata’s healthcare IT security solutions globally. Central to her role is fostering alignment between the buyers, users and administrators of healthcare IT solutions to enable clinical staff to focus more on patient care and less on the barriers that technology can introduce into clinical workflows.

Christy has a passion for understanding customer needs and a reputation for making things work within B2B organizations small and large. An experienced leader, she’s spent two decades inspiring marketing teams to cultivate the subject matter expertise and conviction to drive initiatives that will move the needle for their business. Christy started her career as a management consultant with AT Kearney, then moved into the speech recognition software industry with Nuance Communications in its early years, propelling explosive market adoption for solutions for customer service, mobile lifestyles and healthcare IT.

Christy has an MSc in Marketing from the University of Leicester and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University with a B.A. in International Relations and Anthropology. Christy is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. In her free time, you will find Christy spending time hiking or kayaking with her husband and two boys.
