Ronald D. Siegel, PsyD, is an assistant professor of psychology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Siegel teaches internationally about the application of mindfulness practice in psychotherapy and other fields, and he maintains a private clinical practice in Lincoln, Mass. He is an author on several well-known publications on mindfulness.
 
Upon completion of this session, attendees will be able to:
  • Describe how seeking good self-esteem leads to psychological distress.
  • Identify tools to help clients act more skillfully and freely by becoming less concerned with narcissistic concerns.
  • Discuss how mindfulness practices can help to reduce identification with fixed narratives about oneself
  • Describe how mindfulness practices help clients to integrate disavowed or split-off aspects of their experience.
