Speaker Bio
John Dyben serves as the chief clinical officer for Origins Behavioral Healthcare, providing academic and clinical supervisory support. His background includes degrees in psychology and health science, with his doctoral practicum having focused on the dynamics, epidemiology and treatment of substance use and addiction in older adults. Dyben is an ordained pastor, clinically trained chaplain and board certified as a master addictions professional and a mental health professional in the State of Florida as well as an internationally certified alcohol and drug counselor, substance abuse professional and certified MBTI practitioner. Dyben’s responsibilities at Hanley Center at Origins have included clinical director, director of older adult and boomer recovery, director of spirituality and director of men’s recovery. He also has experience in community-based mental health and wellness fields, which included therapeutic and administrative positions with Boys Town USA. He has been an adjunct faculty member at Palm Beach State College and a faculty member of the Addiction Professionals Training Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida.
