He was awarded The 2016 Volunteer Award of The Year at the Annual CAHL meeting in August and was nominated in September to serve on the Board of Directors for the organization.
David firmly believes in “Purpose” and that no one succeeds alone. He is eternally grateful for everyone who has functioned as role models and mentors that have helped him through life and career navigations. His dad, Otunba J.A.O Akinsanya, a retired General Manager at Co-Operative Bank PLC, now Skye Bank International, is a major role model who instilled principles of human relations in him even at a young age; his pastor and spiritual father, Pastor Isaac Segun-Abugan, the Senior Pastor and President of Dominion Life Christian Center in San Ramon and Stockton, California helped build up and continues to nurture his faith, leadership integrity and work with God; his first career mentor, Bonnie Panlasigui (FACHE), Chief Administrative Office and President at Alameda Hospital, a member of Alameda Health System is a God-sent mentor who has been very instrumental to his continued success; Dave Gravender, the Chief Information Office at Alameda Health System who mentors him in Information Technology Management and General leadership strategies.
David has a long list of IT and Management Certifications/degrees and has written 4 IT articles for an Expert Exchange site. He will soon complete his Advanced MBA degree with concentration in IT, in the spring of 2017 from Golden State University in San Francisco, California in his pursuit to becoming a Chief Information Officer (CIO) in the near future. He also has 2 main projects he is nurturing where he plans to become an employer of labor, one in the IT consulting world and the other in Gospel music collaboration software.
David loves music and he’s a member of his church choir where he plays multiple instruments including keyboard, guitar, drums and other percussion instruments. He also plays a little Saxophone and Trumpet just for fun.
David, fondly referred to as Daré, has over 16 years of System Engineering and Network Administration, and over 20 years of combined administrative experience which he leverages to delivering efficiency and effectiveness that help drive successful business development strategies everywhere he’s privileged to serve in. He lives in San Ramon with his lovely wife, Modupeola, 2 daughters, Victoria and Esther, and a lastborn son, Isaac.
