Walt Culbertson is President and founder of Connecting Healthcare®, host and producer of the Medical Update Show in Jacksonville FL, and a seasoned facilitator experienced in helping orchestrate the development and execution of collective goals and objectives among diverse stakeholders. Culbertson is a recognized healthcare technologist, futurist, lecturer, and privacy, security and HIPAA authority, with a successful track record of helping health care providers, pharmacists, health plans and state, national and public/private initiatives with e-capabilities and migration of business practices, functions, and policies toward secure digital healthcare and consumer engaged interactions.
Culbertson started his healthcare career in 1975 as a Navy Corpsman and in the early 80s was a pioneer in the development and implementation of networked desktop practice management solutions for physicians, dentists, and health clinics. Culbertson’s 43-year career in health care and information systems includes significant software development, management, and leadership spanning all major facets of the health care industry.
