Christine VanZandbergen, MPH, MS PA-C is the Vice President of Information Services Applications at Penn Medicine. Ms. VanZandbergen joined the organization in June, 2002 as a Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant. She is currently responsible for defining the strategic direction and providing leadership for the implementation and support of clinically and revenue cycle related applications. Christine oversees the development of EHR applications through short and long-term goal setting, assessment of information technology needs, and information systems integration, IT business operations, risk analyses, security, applications development, database management, user and system support, and related operations.
Ms. Vanzandbergen previously led the development and implementation of clinical decision support tools from the ideation process, through pilot, and deployment across the health system in a multi-system EHR. Prior to assuming the role of CDS Officer, she held the role of Manager of Professional Practice and Development at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center providing oversight for all advanced practice providers.
Ms. VanZandbergen earned her MS in Physician Assistant Studies from Seton Hall University and attained her MPH from Drexel University.
