Dan C. Costantino is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Penn Medicine. Dan is an information security leader with extensive experience in the industry, including; strategic planning and development of enterprise information security programs, development of strong technological security controls as well as disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Dan is an expert in information security governance and risk management planning with a mission to align the people, process, and technology of cybersecurity with the overall business mission.
Prior to joining Penn Medicine, Dan acted as the CISO for Henkels & McCoy. He was a principal for Layer 8 Security, where he built and led a successful cybersecurity consulting
practice. Additionally, Dan served and practiced information security in the United States Marine Corps, including participation in three separate international engagements.
Dan holds a BS in Information Systems Security from American Military University and an M.B.A. from the Jack Welch Management Institute. He is a Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
