A security and privacy professional, attorney and certified information systems auditor, Michael has an esteemed career engineering effective strategies to meet the challenges of HIPAA privacy and security regulatory requirements among other industry regulations and framework requirements. For the past twenty years, Michael has developed, implemented and advised on organizational methodology, assessed organizational controls around change management, business continuity and disaster recovery, policy and procedure, business associate management, Sox 404 Compliance, and Service Organization Control Reporting. Michael currently is the Chair for the Membership Committee and previous Chair of the Security, Privacy and Compliance Committee for the New Jersey HIMSS Chapter. He sits on the Board of Advisors for Rutgers Cybersecurity Executive Program, and the NJ Health Information Network Compliance Committee.

Michael is currently the Information Security Officer for Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, a clinical affiliate of Rutgers, in Paramus, NJ.
