Shannon Jaquess has been with Mission Health since 2013 and currently serves as the Director of the Quality & Safety Engineering. The Quality & Safety Engineering Department supports analytics, patient/staff/provider engagement, performance improvement, and clinical and operational redesign across Mission’s seven hospitals, post-acute center, and 120+ clinics in the 18 counties of western North Carolina. Mission Hospital is the regional referral center for tertiary care and the region’s only Level II trauma center. Mission Health became an operating division of HCA Healthcare in February 2019.

Shannon has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and received her Master Black Belt certification through NC State University. Prior to joining Mission Health, Shannon worked as a process engineer and LEAN Six Sigma change agent at Milliken & Company, a chemical and specialty textile manufacturing company based in Spartanburg, SC.
