Monte Ratzlaff is the systemwide Cyber Risk Program Director at University of California Office of the President. In his role, Monte participates with University of California leaders to establish cyber risk strategic plans and objectives. He also leads the UC Health Chief Information Security Officers from each UC Health location in various information security related initiatives.
In his prior role at UC Davis Health System, Monte managed the IT Security department and also served as the Chief Security Officer.
Mr. Ratzlaff has extensive experience in information security within the banking and health care industries and holds Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) professional designations.
As a cybersecurity leader with over 19 years of experience, Mr. Ratzlaff has presented at the 2017 and 2018 FireEye Defense Summits, 2017 and 2019 Educause Security Professionals Conferences, 2017 and 2019 UC Risk Summits, Educause 2016, 2016 HIMSS So-Cal Privacy and Security conference, UC Tech Conferences, UC Davis Information Security Symposiums, and the California Cyber Security Symposium.
