Dave started splicing and testing fiber in 1994. By 2001 he was leading the testing/certifying of dark fiber networks all over the northeast. In 2009 he moved out of the field into fiber design and certification. By 2020 he engineered a fiber design region that covered 5 states. He was also responsible for training the Fiber Design Engineers and Fiber Construction Engineers to certify fiber links, setting up automated test results packaging, and maintaining a network of remote test units all over the eastern half of the USA.
