Arnie Braun, Director Fleet Operations at Cox Automotive, has over 15 years of experience in fleet management. As Director, Arnie oversees the management of over 18,000 assets including services such as asset management, driver services, compliance, sustainability and fleet strategy. To support these efforts, Arnie has sat on advisory boards at the vehicle manufacturer and aftermarket equipment levels to help drive advancements in quality, cost and sustainable options. In addition, Arnie leads a team that is driving advancement in the industry marketplace to connect fleet managers to integrated service networks, eliminating time and complexity in the management of vehicles.
Arnie entered the fleet industry as an application engineer for ServiceMaster (parent of TruGreen/Terminix) and was tasked with eliminating PTO use for lawn and pest applications after obtaining a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. After moving into Fleet management, Arnie earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Memphis and has since served the fleet industry in various leadership roles including sales, operations, and client relations. These roles span responsibilities in management at two top-10 commercial fleets and also serving the fleet community as a divisional leader for a top logistics and compliance provider for fleet management companies and commercial fleets.
Arnie is also active in the community by teaching personal financial management and serving in leadership within the Trail Life organization where he teaches junior high boys both outdoor and life skills.
