Heather Roszkowski is chief information security officer at the University of Vermont Health Network in Burlington, Vt., a 562-bed academic medical center. She has many years of military stateside and combat experience in IS, security protocol, and operations. During her 11 years in the U.S. Army, Heather served two tours in Iraq and was awarded the Bronze Star for outstanding leadership and communications support in combat. She served as a communications platoon leader, a communications company commander, the first Division Information Security Officer for the 25th Infantry Division and as a brigade signal officer. She attained the rank of major in 2009. Heather received two Bachelor of Science degrees in 2000, in Computer Information Systems and Business Management, and a Master’s of Science in Computer Information Security in 2008: all from Norwich University.
