With more than 40 years of simulation and measurement experience, and over 35 applied to building HVAC, Mark Seymour was formerly CTO and one of the founders of Future Facilities. Future Facilities provided physics-based simulation solutions powered by computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for the electronics and data center industries. Following the acquisition of Future Facilities by Cadence in 2022, Mark now assumes the role of Distinguished Engineer, using his expertise to specialize in the data center design software and insights platform solution. This decision-making platform uses data center digital twins
to optimize the design and operational efficiency of data centers. He’s a voting member of ASHRAE TC 9.9, holding the position of research chair. He is current vice-chair and past chair of the NSF-ES2 research project industrial advisory board.
