Scott Nygaard, M.D., is Chief Operating Officer at the Fort Myers, Florida-based Lee Health, an integrated health system with four adult hospitals, a children’s hospital, a rehab hospital, and an affiliated physician practice. Dr. Nygaard will share with Editor-in-Chief Mark Hagland his perspectives on Lee Health’s journey so far into alternative payment models, including accountable care organization development, bundled payments development, and a Medicaid primary care provider service network. He will elaborate on the challenges in leveraging data analytics to support population health management and care management in all those alternative payment models, and how his health system has achieved progress and demonstrated value.
