Sarah Simmons is a Doctor of Public Health who has extensive knowledge in developing disinfection processes and the evaluation and integration of UV disinfection products in healthcare spaces.
Her career includes 5 years at Baptist Health System in San Antonio, TX serving as the head of Infection Control for the Critical Care service line. She is an APIC Fellow and has served on the board of the San Antonio APIC Chapter.
Sarah joined Xenex Disinfection Services in 2012 and functions as the Senior Director of Science. Sarah assists customers with data analysis and publication, conducts testing and evaluation of new UV technologies and best practices for implementing UV disinfection as well as oversees the science department.
Sarah’s passion lies in the research and validation of solutions that will reduce risk, improve quality of
care and provide healthcare staff with improved approaches to pathogen mitigation.
