As a values-driven executive, Joe brings a unique 20-year track record of leading both supply chain transformations and commercial ventures across three industries.

Joe served in progressive supply chain and business development roles for Corporate Express and Foodbuy before choosing healthcare after the tragic loss of both parents in 2005. Joe served as Intermountain Healthcare’s Chief Supply Chain Officer until late 2016, building an extraordinary talent bench and ultimately helping the team become Gartner’s #1 ranked Healthcare Supply Chain. Joe also served as Pensiamo’s EVP of Operations as he helped to commercialize UPMC’s Supply Chain operations.

In January 2018, Joe courageously left the “safety net” of corporate leadership roles to honor his healthcare purpose and entrepreneurial spirit more specifically. Joe founded Supply Chain Sherpas with a clear mission: unlock the potential of our bottlenecked supply chain to increase IMPACT for suppliers and providers. Solutions include executive coaching, education programs, and advisory services for suppliers, providers, and healthcare investors.

Joe is dedicated to extending practices and creating industry-wide movements as a keynote speaker and panel moderator.
