Dr. Josep Pareja is Director of Medical Affairs – Infectious Diseases at QIAGEN He is a biochemist holding a PhD in Molecular Biology from Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain). Early in his career he took a leading scientific role in the R&D team developing an In-Vitro Diagnostic microfluidic Medical Device for the simultaneous detection of pathogens. He then transitioned to Clinical and Medial Affairs focusing his work in developing evidences of the clinical utility of Molecular Diagnostics for Infectious Diseases.
