Ron Pritchard is owner/lead of Addiction Program Consultants (APC) and has extensive background in the field of substance use disorder prevention, intervention, treatment and program planning in military and public service sectors. Pritchard is a Navy veteran, who worked in the field followed by 10 years experience as Addiction Services Program Manager at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. There he developed and managed a multidisciplinary program of addiction counselors, Clinical Social Workers, Art/Rec Therapists and Psychiatric Nurses/Technicians providing seamless transition of military/veteran’s with SUD from acute inpatient to residential and/or intensive outpatient.. Ron also provided subject matter consulting in development of programs focused on mild traumatic brain injury, provider wellness, and psychiatric intensive outpatient services.. Ron continues a 25-year history serving in local, state and national leadership positions advocating for recognition of certified addiction counselors in the Military and Government Workforce. He is currently the president of the Virginia Association of Addiction Professionals and NAADAC Chairperson of the Military/Veterans Advisory Committee.
