Stuart Roe is an Assistant Professor and School Counseling Program Coordinator in the Department of Counselor Education at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). He earned his doctorate in counselor education and supervision from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to working at TCNJ, Roe had a variety of experiences within educational settings including working as a school counselor for eight years, coordinating a school-based student assistance program, administering a family literacy program, teaching GED classes, teaching abroad, working with the Humphrey Fellowship program at Penn State, coordinating an academic exchange program and completing a year of AmeriCorps service. Roe currently teaches graduate courses including prevention in schools and communities, multicultural counseling, and organization and administration of school counseling programs. Each summer, he teaches substance prevention coursework which includes experiential activities with Portuguese prevention officials.
