Description
In this session, the presenter will review the NAADAC Code of Ethics and the principles associated with self-care and supervision as mechanisms for building circles of resilience. Brief review will include research that links stress, illness and immortality. Leniency bias will be examined with a focus on utilizing the supervision process as a mechanism for establishing a work culture of compassionate accountability and opportunity for building resilience. The session will
discuss the American Psychological Association study on advancing colleague assistance and discuss current
resources and ideas for initiating small change relevant to your own practice and workplace. There will be an opportunity for participants to discuss and share strategies and techniques that have been helpful and not so helpful.
