Leaders at the Cambridge Health Alliance in the Boston area have developed a leading-edge program to help clinicians and other healthcare workers to be able to care for disruptive patients. In many cases, patients who are verbally and physically disruptive cannot be managed in a traditional ambulatory clinic setting. Arshiya Seth, M.D., Medical Director for Risk and Patient Safety at the Cambridge Health Alliance, will share with the audience the origins of the organization’s program, its framework and details, and lessons learned from implementing it. This session will provide audience members with insights into how to optimize care delivery for difficult and disruptive patients, and what can be learned from the implementation of this innovative program.
