Doug Vanderslice is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Boston Children’s Hospital, where he is responsible for financial operations, budget, financial planning, debt/capital management, managed care contracting, revenue cycle, information technology, and real estate.
In 2013, Doug came to Boston from BJC HealthCare in St. Louis, MO, where he was VP and CFO of St. Louis Children’s Hospital for nine years and concurrently served as CFO of BJC’s Home Care and Behavioral Health service lines for three of those years. Prior to joining BJC/St. Louis Children’s Hospital in 2004, Doug spent twelve years at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas as Controller and Director of Patient Financial Services.
Doug began his professional career on the audit staff of Deloitte and Touche in Dallas, TX, and also served as the Director of Finance for a suburban Dallas municipality. Doug received his BBA in Accounting at Baylor University, completed the Advanced Management Program at University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant.
