Mr. Alex Munton is Rapidan Energy Group’s Global Gas and LNG research lead based in Houston. He is a seasoned energy analyst with over 20 years of experience in the industry and holds a PhD in International Relations from the Australian National University as well as a background in Economics and Business from the Metropolitan University from his native London.
In 2007, Alex joined Wood Mackenzie as an upstream analyst, and during his initial seven-year tenure covered the Middle East during which time he gained deep expertise on the petroleum industries of the region’s major producing countries.
In 2014, Alex relocated to Houston to lead Wood Mackenzie’s LNG research for the Americas, covering both asset and market analysis, contributing to a range of research deliverables across the company’s North America and Global Gas product suite and supporting the Houston-based and global consulting team.
At Rapidan, Alex oversees all aspects of the Global Gas and LNG Service, including product development, research and analysis, and bespoke offerings.
