Kenneth B. Medlock III, Ph.D., is the James A. Baker III and Susan G. Baker Fellow in Energy and Resource Economics at Rice University’s Baker Institute, where he also serves as senior director of the Center for Energy Studies and director of the Master of Energy Economics program. He holds adjunct appointments in economics and civil and environmental engineering at Rice. His research focuses on natural gas, electricity, energy prices, transportation, national oil companies, energy demand, and energy transition topics such as carbon capture and hydrogen. Medlock has testified before Congress, spoken at OPEC, and is widely recognized for his analysis of global and domestic energy issues.
