Mark currently heads our global Refinery and Petrochemical Modeling development and research as well as leading the North America oils team in markets and asset benchmarking and profitability analysis.
Mark has led major projects including creation of an industry-wide model forecasting impacts of investments, demand, and regulatory changes to the refining and petrochemical system, regional studies of product balances and pricing impacts, and evaluation of individual investments. He has contributed to numerous refinery valuation projects and presents downstream market views regularly at major companies and industry events.
Mark has led the analysis of refining and refined products in the Americas for the past ten years, including the competitive benchmarking of over 100 refineries. He also heads the Product Market Service for North America and is a key contributor to our global outlook for refined products over the next 20 years.
He joined Wood Mackenzie with many years of refining experience with a major US refiner. His roles in refining included hydroprocessing specialist, energy optimizer, and project start-up engineer.
Mark holds a BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
