                                                    Amy is director of patient services for UCHealth’s Virtual Health Center. She has 21 years’ experience as a professional registered nurse working in a quaternary care academic Magnet designated facility – UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital, the only adult academic medical center in the Rocky Mountain West. Since April 2018, she has served as director of patient services for UCHealth’s Virtual Health Center, which includes Virtual Urgent Care/ED, Virtual ICU, Safety View (tele sitter) and remote centralized telemetry for the health care system, and is actively on-boarding a home surveillance monitoring program. These services support the entire health system, comprised of 26,000 employees, 12 acute-care full-service hospitals and hundreds of physicians across Colorado, southern Wyoming and western Nebraska.
Previously at University of Colorado Hospital, Amy has served as associate nurse manager of the medical ICU, wound care team, rapid response team and special pathogens unit; relief hospital manager; relief charge nurse, clinical level III & IV nurse; interim educator for cardiac ICU and medical ICU; and clinical level II nurse. She received Magnet Nurse of the Year in 2012, and was a Nightingale Luminary Nominee in 2016 and 2020.
