Speaker: Sean McGlew, PsyD
This session will provide individuals with an overview of Complex PTSD, the history of pathologizing the LGBTQ identity, and the ways in which addiction and Complex PTSD contribute to the re-traumatization and continued traumatization of the LGBTQ population. Specific emphasis will be made on the constructs of internalized homonegativity and affirmation and lack thereof, within the broader majority population as well as within the LGBTQ community.
