Ken McKinney has been with Underwriters Laboratories for 28 years in various roles from Project Engineer to Group Leader. He is currently the Principal Engineer for Transformers, Class 2 Power Supplies, Valves and Fault-Managed Power Systems. Ken has a BS in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. He has been an NEC Code Panel Member for the last 6 cycles, beginning on CMP 9 and is currently the Chair of CMP-1 for NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code). He is also a member of IEC TC-96 for small transformers and power supplies. In his free time, Ken enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, and traveling.
