As 2020 (finally) begins its descent into 2021 there are three trends that by themselves are quite bad but together they are just awful: Credential Theft, "Big Game Hunting" Ransomware, and Linux Malware. In this presentation we are going to look at the intersectionality of all three of these threats (and other factors like profitability and stealthiness) and how cyber intelligence will play a bigger role in defending organizations against threats proactively versus reactively. Sun Tzu once said that "every battle is won before it's ever fought" and "the art of war teaches us to rely not on the likelihood of the enemy's [coming] or not coming, but on our own readiness to receive him." By knowing what might be coming your way is better than reacting to it when (not if) the trouble gets there. Let's get prepared together!
