Dr. Abhinav Chandra is the Executive Medical Director of Specialty Care at Yuma regional medical center. He is also the Medical Director of the Yuma regional cancer center and Medical Director of Institutional Research for the Yuma regional medical center. He completed his MBA from UCLA Anderson school of management in 2021. His MBA capstone project included exploring a liquid-based diagnostics for lung cancer screening using ML/ AI. His abstract leveraging machine learning technology to identify and match patients for precision oncology clinical trials was published in American Society of clinical oncology (ASCO) 2021. He has more than 25 peer reviewed publications, 3 book chapters and over 60 posters presented in national and international conferences. He has also been the Principal Investigator for his site for Industry sponsored and population health based clinical trials. His areas of interest include evaluating the role of AI/ ML in healthcare, health care disparity and health services research.
