Edwina is a clinical healthcare executive with expertise in leveraging technology to promote the needs of the delivery of quality patient care. Her vision is to advance organizational healthcare information technology. Edwina has worked in direct patient care, consulting, EMR implementations and PMO / Strategy development in both established and greenfield organizations in the US and internationally. Her current role is as Division Director of CHI St Luke’s in Houston, Texas where she is responsible for integrating clinical informatics across multiple platforms and geographical locations to ensure clinical efficiencies and metrics are met. She has developed and implemented a divisional governance EMR enhancement process and program; including establishing and chairing a Steering Committee which prioritizes market strategic priorities representing over 2 million dollars in organizational efficiencies. Previously in the United Arab Emirates, she developed the strategic plan for nursing informatics aligning to Magnet principles at University Hospital Dubai and then was the Senior Director, Information Technology Project Management Office & Strategy at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, a 360-bed tertiary facility operated by Cleveland Clinic and part of Abu Dhabi’s strategic 2030 plan to bring quality healthcare to the UAE which opened in Q2 2015. Edwina obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Catholic University in Washington and her a Master of Science in Nursing & Health Care Administration, Nursing Informatics Minor.
