Bryan Hoffman is a Director of Asset Management for the Customer Delivery Distributed Energy Group (DEG). In this role, Bryan leads the Distributed Energy Operations & Maintenance (DEOM) Team.
The DEOM Team consists of four functional areas: Design Engineering, Control Systems, Operations, and Maintenance. This team is responsible for all activities related to Distribution-connected Battery Energy Storage Sites, Microgrids, and Solar Sites.
Bryan has worked in Fossil Generation, Nuclear Generation, Transmission, and Distribution during his 17 years at Duke Energy. With operations experience at fossil plants, managing nuclear projects, upgrading 300-plus substations, and working on the Transmission and Distribution grid, Bryan’s expertise and contributions to major electric utility projects have positioned him to lead the DEOM Team.
Bryan is a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Bryan also holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from North Carolina State University. Bryan is a registered professional engineer in the state of North Carolina.
