Rick Grant is Vice President of Distribution Control Center (DCC) Operations. He is responsible for leadership and oversight for the five control centers as they support outage management, routine work and system operations. The DCCs are integral to Duke Energy’s storm management and outage restoration efforts by providing coordination, decision making and leadership while maintaining the safety of field operating personnel, contract line personnel and the general public.
Rick received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW). He is a licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina. Rick serves on the boards for Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce, Durham Arts Council, UNCW Board of Visitors, and UNCW Coastal Engineering Advisory Board and is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He is married with two children and resides in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
