Jeff Finkelstein is the Executive Director of Technology at Cox Communications in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been a key member of the engineering organization at Cox since 2002 and led the team responsible for the deployment of DOCSIS technologies, from DOCSIS 1.0 to DOCSIS 3.0. He was the initial innovator of advanced technologies including Pro-Active Network Maintenance, Active Queue Management and DOCSIS 3.1. His current responsibilities include defining the future cable network vision at Cox.
 
Jeff has over 47 patents issued or pending. His hobbies include Irish Traditional Music and stand-up comedy.

Dean Stoneback, Senior Director of Engineering and Standards, SCTE

Dean Stoneback joined SCTE in 2014 after having more than 25 years with General Instrument, Motorola and ARRIS Group. With SCTE, he is responsible for the development of standards, operational practices and training material that can help cable efficiently and quickly deliver services that can attract and retain customers.
 
Dean was valedictorian at Geneva College, where he earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Mathematics. He received his M.S in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University.

Tom Cloonan is Chief Technology Officer, Network Solutions at CommScope. In this position, he is responsible for directing the architectural work and future product planning for CommScope’s network products.
 
Mr. Cloonan and his team successfully architected the E6000® CER CCAP and C4 CMTS products, as well as the newest generation of DAA products. His current research focus is the design of highly scalable next-generation last-hop technologies. He is also a Fellow of the IEEE.
