As the cable industry continues to pursue its 10G initiative, telco counterparts switched on the first 25G PON fiber broadband network in Belgium in May 2021. With telcos widely deploying 10G PON and 25G PON now a reality, this paper explores the implications and opportunities of the latest evolution in fiber technology for cable MSOs.
