Roberta Baranda, MS, RHIA, CHP is currently the Director, Health Information Management, Coding/CDI, and the Valley Children’s Healthcare Data Governance Officer at Valley Children's Health. Having worked at the organization for over 28 years, she has served in various roles including the Director of Patient Access and Ambulatory Operations. She has served as the Valley Children's Healthcare Privacy Officer. Roberta has a dual Master's degree in Health Information Management and Information Technology Leadership. She is the current 2022-2023 President of the California Health Information Association (CHIA). Over her years with the CHIA organization, she has served on various CHIA committees and Task Forces. She has served as a member of the Sequoia Group serving most recently on the Sequoia Information Blocking Compliance Work Group.
