About us
MaxCell® is revolutionizing the network construction industry with its flexible, multi-celled, fabric innerduct solution. Compared to rigid innerduct, MaxCell allows network owners and builders to increase their cable density by as much as 300%. It maximizes space, minimizes costs and allows overlay without breaking new ground. More than 400 million feet of MaxCell innerduct has been installed around the world. From the standard overbuild of an existing network to a lateral run from curb-to-building, MaxCell meets the needs of engineers, contractors and network providers in numerous industries. MaxSpace® is a new, patent-pending, No-Dig technology and construction method that safely removes existing innerduct from around active fiber optic cables with virtually no load on the cables and no interruption of service. As the innerducts are removed, cables migrate to bottom of the outer conduit. Once all innerducts are removed, up to 90% conduit space is recovered allowing up to nine (9) more cables to be placed in the reclaimed space of a conduit that was once considered full. Industries using the MaxCell and MaxSpace Solutions: • Telecom • Broadband & Cable TV • Education & Universities • Military • Municipalities • Data Centers • Airports • Utility, Oil & Gas Applications for MaxCell and MaxSpace: • Occupied Conduits • FTTx • Curb to Building • Premise-Riser • Right-of-Way Obstacles • Space Recovery/Renewal • Cellular Backhaul • Bridges • Long Pulls

It's one thing to talk about maximizing pathways with #MaxCell - it's another thing to witness ingenuity at work in the field to make the magic happen. Shout out to James Jun and the team at TOWARDEX for the work they are doing. Because as we all know, no two infrastructure solutions are ever exactly the same! #Network #Infrastructure #StructuredCabling
At TOWARDEX, we love building large public utility systems for internet networks. The Hub Express System (HEX) in Boston has become the talk of the town for discussing modern "Dig Once" conduit systems and underground "Meet-Me" infrastructures. One challenge to operating any piece of infrastructure is maintenance. It's nice to have a tidy and clean-looking build when it's newly built, but after that, we all know it soon starts to fall apart. 😅 Many of us will tell you that simple things like sealing conduits (to keep sediments/water out) will go a long way in maintaining easily serviceable builds for future installations. But what we often don't tell you, is how challenging it is to continuously maintain that clean posture over the life of the system, especially as cables get routinely installed and re-installed over time. 💡 A common activity known as "re-entry" presents a real challenge in the maintenance of the HEX system. Re-entry occurs when crews break and re-open an existing seal to pull another cable in the same conduit, using a remaining spare innerduct. And with MaxCell, you can have as many as 5 to 9 re-entries in a 4" conduit. Each re-entry creates a quality assurance burden—the conduit will need to be re-sealed and inspected again to ensure that watertightness is restored back to the original construction's specs. 👀 It gets harder as more cables go in. More cable transits mean more openings, allowing more water and sediment to leak in. With large duct banks, keeping track of every cable transit and re-entry activity starts to become a full-time nightmare! 📢 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤, 𝐰𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 Roxtec Group'𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦. Scanning right from the manhole using the mobile app, our crews can now rapidly locate every single cable transit and update its status across the entire duct system, creating a digital register with log of every change and re-entry activity occurring throughout the network. We'll no longer have to wonder which conduits will need additional work. Instead, the status of every duct opening can now be kept updated and reported in real-time by installers. Over the next several weeks, we'll begin enabling Roxtec's Transit Operate in every Meet-Me Hole across the HEX system, keeping you updated along the way! 👉 By keeping our utilities clean and maintainable, we save our tenant customers' time and help them avoid costly network outages. 🌎 The Hub Express System is seeing higher frequency of re-entry activities with the 𝐅𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 (https://lnkd.in/err_x4Av), where Boston's leading network providers are starting to conveniently interconnect their networks using the underground manhole system. #Boston #internet #datacenter #interconnection #infrastructure TWDX Infrastructure
