Description
One of the principal goals of dentistry should be the preservation of the natural dentition. The opportunity to save teeth with advanced periodontal disease has become possible with advances in regenerative tissue engineering and laser treatment. With the emerging knowledge regarding complications associated with dental implants, keeping teeth has become more important. This program will look at how the philosophy in dentistry is shifting back to one of saving teach versus placing implants because of the progress in regenerative materials and techniques.  
 
Learning Objectives:
  •  Discuss the benefits to maintaining teeth through regeneration and laser therapy versus extraction and replacement with dental implants
  •  Learn the latest biologic, hard, and soft tissue material used in regenerative periodontices around tooth defects
  •  Analyze how periodontal treatment can increase practice production as well as create grateful
