Rules & Regulations

FOR VIRTUAL INFORMATIONAL POSTER SESSIONS

Failure to comply with these rules and regulations will disqualify the poster from active competition and from being judged.

 

  1. Entrants must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. dental hygiene program and in their senior year.

 

  1. All presenters must be students at the time of the application deadline to participate.

 

  1. A minimum of one (and a maximum of two) presenters are allowed for each poster presentation.

 

  1. Presenters must have been directly involved in conducting the research study presented.

 

  1. Professional attire is required. Uniforms and lab coats are acceptable if a school logo is not visible.

 

  1. Presentations must not exceed seven minutes.

 

  1. Advertising matter, commercial promotion, and solicitation of sales of any type are prohibited.

 

  1. Drugs must be identified by their generic or chemical formula rather than by the commercial trade name.

 

  1. Presenters must supply all materials needed to execute a prerecorded presentation.

 

  1. Charts/posters/diagrams must be limited to one PowerPoint slide. NOTE: For virtual poster presentation templates, visit PosterPresentations.com and select 48 x 96 dimension.

 

  1. Dental hygiene program affiliation should be kept confidential.

 

  1. All competitors must include a 150-word abstract for each submitted poster. See separate ABSTRACT guidelines.
