Kristian Svendsen is country manager for Chevron in Egypt and in Cyprus, a position he assumed in October 2020. He is responsible for Chevron’s upstream business in both countries. Svendsen joined Chevron in 2004 as a Facilities engineer in Norway and since then, he has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility within Operations, Major Capital Projects, and Asset Development.

Most recently, he was Senior Delivery Lead for Chevron in Norway during Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) on the Jansz lo Compression (JIC) project. Prior to that, he served as the country manager for Chevron in Denmark followed by advisor to the Executive Vice President Upstream in San Ramon, USA.

He received his degree in chemical process engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2003.
