Mr. Stalzer is responsible for working across all areas of Dominion Energy and its external partners to establish and implement cyber security, policies and best practices to keep the company protected a constantly changing threat landscape. He oversees cyber incident response, cyber security-based regulatory compliance programs and the company’s Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC). The Dominion Energy CSOC team actively monitors and reacts to cyberthreats and malicious electronic actions directed towards Dominion Energy assets.
Stalzer first came to the company in 1994 as DBA consultant working on Customer Billing Management System (CBMS) project. After working as a consultant, he transitioned to Dominion Energy fulltime in 2000. Since then, he has served in a variety of roles with the Information Technology organization including the Manager of Risk Management where he had direct responsibility for cyber security compliance programs and led the company through a highly successful NERC CIP Audit in 2013. He has also served asManager of the IT Business Account for Electric Transmission where he was responsible for technical administration and support of the Energy Management System (Electric SCADA) at the company’s Electric Transmission System Operations Center (Magnolia).Stalzer holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
