Shinjini currently serves as the director of Energy Policy in Southern California Edison’s Regulatory Affairs organization. In this role, she is responsible for developing and implementing a coordinated regulatory strategy for the company, analyzing policy implications of key initiatives, and managing the development of company positions for existing and emerging issues associated with wildfire mitigation, decarbonization and equitable access. In previous roles within the company, Shinjini directed SCE’s General Rate Case, managed the Transmission and Distribution organizational unit’s business and operational planning, and led several large-scale process and organizational improvement projects.
Prior to joining Edison, Shinjini was a Senior Engineer for Corning, Incorporated overseeing experimental design for photonics and environmental product development.
Shinjini earned her Master’s degrees in Applied Statistics and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, and her Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, India.
