Brendan Kirkpatrick, P.E., has worked for Southern California Edison for over 10 years, first as an engineer responsible for multiple distribution equipment product lines (including voltage regulators, capacitor banks, fault indicators, and automatic reclosers), and now serves as engineering manager for the Switching and Reactive Apparatus Asset Engineering group. His team of technical subject matter experts is responsible for equipment specifications, construction/operation/maintenance standards, and “cradle to grave” support for numerous distribution and transmission devices. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of California.
