Bryan Vartabedian is the Chief Medical Officer of Texas Childrens Hospital | North Austin. As a physician leader Dr Vartabedian brings to the table an administrative skill set in strategic planning, inpatient/ambulatory operations, outpatient surgical management, process improvement, clinical technology adoption, healthcare comms/social strategy and physician management.
Dr Vartabedian understands how hospitals are conceived and built to meet the unique needs of their communities. Integral in the conception, design, building and activation of TCH The Woodlands, Dr Vartabedian has shaped a blueprint for subspecialty care that extends beyond the boundaries of the traditional children's hospital. As part of the leadership team of Texas Children's 500 million dollar expansion into the Austin market, he is excited to scale the legacy and success of America's largest pediatric hospital system. Beyond his operational responsibilities Dr Vartabedian is a full-time faculty member at Baylor College of Medicine where he has driven programs and policies around technology and medicine. And as professor of the practice at Rice University he is shaping the next generation of medical thought leaders as cofounder of the Medical Futures Lab.
As a speaker and writer Dr Vartabedian has a track record of putting medicine and technology into the proper context for health industry leaders. Some of Dr V's most exciting contributions have been advising technology companies in strategy and product development. As an advisor to Houstons TMCx he has been able to help bridge early stage technology to key stakeholders in the largest medical center in the world.
