Pamela H. Harmell, PhD, is a national lecturer specializing in legal and ethical issues in clinical practice. A professor at the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology, she has written extensively in professional publications on ethical practice. Hamell is a former chair of the California Psychological Association State Ethics Committee and is the current co-chair and past-president of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association Ethics Committee.

Dr. Jamie Marich travels internationally speaking on topics related to EMDR therapy, trauma, addiction, expressive arts and mindfulness while maintaining a private practice in her home base of Warren, Ohio. She is the developer of the Dancing Mindfulness practice and delivered a TEDx talk on trauma in 2015. Marich is the author of EMDR Made Simple: 4 Approaches for Using EMDR with Every Client (2011), Trauma and the Twelve Steps: A Complete Guide for Recovery Enhancement (2012), Trauma Made Simple: Competencies in Assessment, Treatment, and Working with Survivors, Dancing Mindfulness: A Creative Path to Healing and Transformation (2015). Her latest book (in collaboration with Dr. Stephen Dansiger) is EMDR Therapy and Mindfulness for Trauma Focused Care (Springer Publishing Company, November 2017).

Donald Meichenbaum, PhD is Distinguished Professor Emeritus from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He is presently Research Director of the Melissa Institute for Violence Prevention in Miami. He is one of the founders of Cognitive behavior therapy and in a survey of clinicians, he was voted " one of the ten most influential psychotherapists of the 20th century." He has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Clinical Division of the American Psychological Association. He is published extensively and has presented in all 50 U.S. states and internationally.

Rita A. Schulte is a licensed professional counselor in the Northern Virginia and DC. In 2004, she launched a private practice in the Northern Virginia DC, specializing in the treatment of mental health disorders including depressive and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, grief and loss issues and relationships. In 2011, Rita created Heartline Radio to address the cutting edge mental health issue that are affecting our culture today. She is the host of Heartline Radio and a 1-minute feature “Consider This.” The radio show is designed to provide relevant content to educate, equip, and engage the culture in the awareness of how mental health disorders are affecting the hearts and minds of each of us. Rita writes for numerous publications and blogs. She is the author of Shattered: Finding Hope and Healing through the Losses of Life, (Leafwood) and Imposter: Gain Confidence, Eradicate Shame and become who God made you to be (Siloam), and her new book Think This Not That will be releasing in 2018.

John Dyben, DHSc, MCAP, CMHP, ICAD
John Dyben serves as the chief clinical officer for Origins Behavioral Healthcare, providing academic and clinical supervisory support. His background includes degrees in psychology and health science, with his doctoral practicum having focused on the dynamics, epidemiology and treatment of substance use and addiction in older adults. Dyben is an ordained pastor, clinically trained chaplain and board certified as a master addictions professional and a mental health professional in the State of Florida as well as an internationally certified alcohol and drug counselor, substance abuse professional and certified MBTI practitioner. Dyben’s responsibilities at Hanley Center at Origins have included clinical director, director of older adult and boomer recovery, director of spirituality and director of men’s recovery. He also has experience in community-based mental health and wellness fields, which included therapeutic and administrative positions with Boys Town USA. He has been an adjunct faculty member at Palm Beach State College and a faculty member of the Addiction Professionals Training Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Gregory Hobelmann
Gregory Hobelmann MD, MPH
Greg started as a staff psychiatrist at Ashley in 2017 after completing his psychiatry residency at Johns Hopkins. He has also completed an anesthesiology residency and pain medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins in 2006. Prior to his psychiatry residency, he worked at Ashley for a year as a staff physician and was in an interventional pain medicine practice for three years. He received a BS in Biology from Georgetown University and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins. His interests are in addiction and treating patients with chronic debilitating pain.

John P. Gallagher MD
John P. Gallagher, MD, is a general obstetrician/gynecologist who has been practicing in Sharon, Pennsylvania, for over 30 years, delivering 6,000 babies, many with substance use disorder issues. Gallagher resides at Primary Health Network, Pennsylvania’s largest Federally Qualified Community Health Center that serves a wide range of patients of all socio-economic levels. He has been actively engaged on a state level with the Pennsylvania Medical Society, serving as chair of its Opioid Task Force and now is board chairman. He has been involved in a wide range of educational, legislative, and advocacy programs on opioids, as well as other healthcare issues. Additionally, he has worked with Behavioral Health Commission to assure adequate funding and reporting requirements with further expansion to other community agencies and has addressed groups of physicians, pharmacists, and local support groups on addressing the issue and using the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program to prevent doctor shopping and overprescribing.

Jason D. Kirby, MBA, DO, is the medical director for CleanSlate Centers and is a practicing addiction medicine specialist in the north hills of Pittsburgh. He Is board certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and completed his internship and residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He recently earned a master's degree in business administration from Point Park University where he has an academic appointment as assistant professor of healthcare administration. He Is a member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and the American Osteopathic Association.

Andrew Averett

Dr Averett is a Diplomate of the American Board of Addiction Medicine, Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and licensed physician. Originally launching his career in family medicine, Averett quickly discovered his passion for addictionology which shapes his practice today. Although his vast experience has lent itself to a variety of different treatment settings, in both clinical and leadership roles, Averett’s interests continually led him back to the treatment of addiction and co-occurring mental health issues. Averett has served as medical director and chief medical officer to a number of facilities, most recently, at The Ranch, in Nunnelly, TN, where he oversaw and delivered services to clients requiring detoxification and subsequent residential treatment for issues related to mental health, eating disorder and sexual addiction. Averett is certified in TMS and Ketamine treatments for those individuals who chronically relapse as a result of misdiagnosed or unresponsive depression interventions. As a true interdisciplinarian, Averett believes sustainable recovery results from bridged medical and psychological care, including trauma resolution

Sandeep Mendiratta
Sandeep Mendiratta MD

Dr. Mendiratta completed a combined B.S./M.D. accelerated program through Northeast Ohio Medical University. He then trained at the University of Florida and subsequently became a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Mendiratta has over 10 years of significant clinical inpatient and office experience with adults, adolescent, and children across different disciplines of psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and addiction medicine. Dr. Mendiratta is also Suboxone certified for opiate dependence while serving multiple dual diagnoses facilities in South Florida as Medical Director. He serves also as a Clinical Investigator at Research Centers of America contributing clinical research in over 25 clinical trials.

Dr. Mendiratta is also a Clinical Assistant Professor on the faculties of The University of Miami/Jackson School of Medicine and the Florida International University/Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine with numerous awards in teaching, including being a past recipient of the prestigious Excellence in Medicine Teaching Award.

Dr. Mendiratta currently serves as the Chairman of the Department Psychiatry at Broward Health Imperial Point in Fort Lauderdale.
