Backed by two decades of clinical experience and passion as a nurse, Dr. Cunningham has led efforts to develop, implement and monitor clinical programs that increase quality and decrease cost, as well as drive care standardization in various departments and diagnosis groups. Her work launched VUMC’s highly successful direct-to-employer commercial bundles that offer predictable pricing and concierge-level experience for patients, saving millions for purchasers of health care, employers and patients. Dr. Cunningham also serves on the Medtronic Strategic Healthcare Advisory Board and HFMA, Value-based Healthcare Innovation Council.
