Malinda leads Evergy's Distribution Planning Engineering team and is responsible for ensuring the distribution power system is economically designed to operate at optimum performance. She has 20+ years of utility engineering experience in distribution system automation, problem solving, design, standards, and system analysis. She is currently focused on assisting her company navigate through the viability, economics and increased complexity of DER interconnections, battery storage, EV adoption and system automation efforts on Evergy’s distribution system.
