As chief quality and patient safety officer, Iahn Gonsenhauser provides leadership and oversight of quality and patient safety across the multiple business units of the Wexner Medical Center. He engages extensively in collaboration with nursing leadership, hospital administrative leadership and quality program leadership to provide operational management, financial management and leadership functions with focus on pay-for-performance programs including CMS and managed-care based programs. He is also a clinical internist/hospitalist in the Department of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Gonsenhauser is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine, completed postgraduate training with Ohio State’s Department of Internal Medicine Primary Care Track and completed six years of biomedical research in the fields of physiology, genetics and cognitive science of aging prior to medical training. He also received an MBA in Finance/Bioscience Entrepreneurship from Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management.
